Welcome to Whiteman Elementary Art! 

        Students will come to the art room every third day and will be encouraged to think creatively while developing good fine motor skills.  I am excited to share my passion for the visual arts with young minds.  In the art room we will experience Art History, exploration of art media, and the production of original artwork.  It is important to me that every child feel successful at school, and I am excited to work with students and parents to make that happen.

        I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education k-12 at the University of Central Missouri and a Master's Degree in Educational Theory and Practice from Arkansas State University. 

         On a personal note, my hobbies include sewing, quilting, gardening, reading and of course, all kinds of art projects.  During the school year my focus remains committed to bringing the best art education to my 350+ students.  I have been married to my husband for 38 years and we have five adorable grandchildren, four grandsons and one granddaughter. Being a mother,  grandmother , and art teacher have filled my heart with complete joy.
